I have never fished for trout.
Its carp and silvers for me , I only started fishing again a couple of years ago since I took my kids fishing of the pier for a laugh, now its our number one hobby.

I fish mainly using the pole on commercial fisheries but I have started using a rod again as it makes it easier to handle the bigger fish.

I used to fish rivers for barbel when I was a kid so I'm going to try that again. Your site is very interesting and I have been looking through it with interest.
