Hey Guys,
I hope english is ok, cause I'm from Germany and don't speak polish.
But here is a lot better Input about blanks than in our communities.
I recently built up an FA Blaas xf 6'3 10lbs blank for fine perch fishing, only vertical, for balance jigs up to 18g, and jigheads, max 20g with 4"softlure.
What i really like is the nice progressive action under pressure.

Now I'm searching a blank for zander with jigheads up to 25g and 5" softbaits, also only vertical.
I know maybe the blaas xf 15lbs would work, but there are many other interesting blanks out there.
Like:
Point, suzuki ,gawas....
What is important for me: really good feedback and bite detection.
A harmonic and nice bending curve, I don't like when only the tip part works, when fighting a fish.
Fast or xfast action is ok, but it should be a progressive transmission to the backbone.

I hope you have some input, or experiences with the blanks I listed at the beginning. for me.

I know here are some really good fishermen and robbuilders;)

@JoHansen
your post has been moved to the existing, appropriate thread,
there is not necessary to create the new, separate thread, if we already have the same or similar one,
could you follow all regulations and habits of our forum, please?
thank you!

Hi,

You can use as well FA Vegter Boron blank (15lb). It's faster then Blaas, more sensitive and with really nice progressive bend.

This is my main zander rod, but I'm usually using it for jigging and from time to time as vertical and light trolling rod.

Has the vegter boron or blaas xf more backbone?
And can you make a comparission to the gawas conquer or suzuki rxf?
How do they feel and bend compared to a blaas xf?

Unfortunately I can't compare it to Gawas or Suzuki, as I've not used them.

Please note as well, that Vegter does not have typical soft jigging tip, you can say that it's more universal rod blank.

Ok I liked my blaas xf and the "stronger" tip, vegter boron is more expensive, would you say it has a better bite detection?
But I'm still interested in the other blanks, they seem to be diffrent...

For me personally it has. But as well it's heavier than blaas, and does not have the best balance.

Boron blanks, you can say they there are a bit 'strange/different' ;)

Suzuki has really nice blanks as well. Anyway, there is a lots of options on the market.

For that ''Netherland and Duch vertical method i like phenix sp69 10lb 5-12g  and If You looking for something stronger, look at st.croix legend xtrem series  12lb should be perfect for bigger jigheads. Both blanks  with soft sensitive tip and enough power to handle big fish and setting the hook  And good warranty :)

JoHansen  - welcome to our forum.

There are some blanks designed specifically for vertical fishing in the Batson-Rainshadow Immortal lineup, take a look:

http://www.rainshado...lleye-spinning/

very light, very crisp, very sensitive - hard to beat really. if you you are looking for sth somewhat heavier also Immortal Bass Casting blanks should work fine.

I've  mentioned Batson because it is relatively easy to get those blanks all over Europe, but of course there are more renowned brands you can consider like St.Croix or Northfork

Walleye blanks are only up to 5/8 oz, that's like my blaas xf 10lbs, I need a bit heavier, but dislike the backbone of the mag bass taper blanks.
To much for my taste....
